Not much too say

There's not a lot to say this week. I have a lot of work. French is confusing. I'm tired of hearing about rushing. I'm just tired in general. It's a typical week.

I am back.

I know y'all are excited so quit floodin my inbox with emails.

But seriously I'm pretty happy to be back at school. Not saying that my break wasn't good but there's just a point where you get bored of sitting around doing nothing. But I did get to go visit my brother, sister-in-law, and their baby in North Carolina so that was pretty cool. I also wrote/arranged a couple of songs too. Oh I can't forget "Juno". That is the best movie I've seen so far this year (whatever I don't care if there's only been 16 days this year).

As far as classes go, I felt alright about my schedule until I actually went to the classes. By the end of my first day I realized I had too much on my plate and that I would have to change my schedule a bit. So no Latin American Studies for me this semester. It wasn't the course load itself but the course load plus the community service. As a student at Tulane you realize that at one or another you will need to a service-learning course but there are only so many courses that fulfill that requirement, so make sure you plan your schedule accordingly.

Besides classes, I'm really ready to start singing again. Hopefully I will be able to do Chamber Choir, as well as the Tulane Choir and my a cappella group. And I also got a new supervisor for my desk job, so there are definitely a lot of changes this semsester. I just hope I can do as well (grades wise) as last semester.

I know you missed me.

And know its been a while, yet again, since my last post but hey I'm a busy person; plus college is stressful.

To make up for it I'll hit the important points.

-Thanksgiving was great, I got to go home and see all my friends


-My birthday was the week after Thanksgiving so it was my first birthday ever not being at home (you'll have a lot of firsts in college); got a new phone


-My a cappella group (aka THEM) had a couple concerts where we premiered my first a capella arrangement and your's truly just happened to be the soloist.





There's been other stuff but that's pretty much the important stuff.

Wait how could I forget FINALS! This has probably been the most stressful 2 weeks of the entire semester. But it wasn't too bad for me because I actually went to class and kept up with the notes and what not.

Well, just thought I'd give you a nice little update before I leave to go home today for a month break.....that's right I know your jealous.

Tulane or Tollywood?

So I've been on a bit of a hiatus but I'm back and with much to tell.

First of all, Jamie Kennedy was here a couple of weeks ago and he was hilarious. I mean he looked like he was living on the street, but he was still funny.


The week after that was midterms......blah. I did well on them but I still don't wanna talk about it.

Most recently though, the controversial Ann Coulter gave her "Why the Democrats are Wrong" speech last week. It was quite interesting. As interesting as it was, I don't think she'll be coming back here for a while. It was pretty much a circus, if you know what I mean.

Also, this past weekend was Homecoming. There was so much to do and so little time but it was great because it was also parent/family weekend; so I got to see my mom. One event that I got to attend was the free concert of Sugar Cult and Sister Hazel hosted by TUCP(love those guys).




Now this week is Halloween and there is so much more fun stuff to do, but I have a midterm again? What the heck!!! Oh well, I guess that's the fun of college; balancing work and play.




Btw I thought I saw Tommy Hilfiger on campus last week but don't quote me on that,lol.

Blah!

Yes indeed, this has been one of those "blah" weeks.

At first it started as any ol' regular week I've had here at Tulane; one or two tests, a couple of nights scheduled at work, the usual. But then on Monday I came to find out that I had a microeconomics mid-term scheduled for Wednesday as well as a French test. And not only did I have those tests, I also had one scheduled for Friday in advanced songwriting.

If that weren't enough, I got a completely new schedule at a meeting on Monday night for my desk services job. That wasn't too bad except for my 4am-6am shift on Wednesday.....my personal favorite(that's sarcasm by the way). So we started the new schedule on Tuesday at midnight meaning that on Wednesday morning I worked 4am-6am, had a French test at 9am, and a my econ. mid-term at 10am. What fun a day that was (I'm a very sarcastic person, btw). But after these tests I was able to attend the career fair hosted by HIRE Tulane. They're a great resource for finding jobs and internships, on and off campus, and before and after graduation.

At first I only went to get all the free stuff (pens, rulers, light-up yo-yos, TIDE detergent samples, etc.) but once I got there and realized that the FBI had chances for internships I was really excited. Even though, they require you to be a junior or senior, I was still eagor to learn about the future opportunity to have a paid internship in Washington D.C. during the summer. This little encounter made my day of tests worth it.

Things also looked better Friday after my last test when I was able to go to my first women's volleyball match. MAN, those girls were good. They killed Tulsa in every game. This made me happy because I knew LSU would demolish us Saturday morning, which of course they did.

And Saturday night, I got to see some of my friends in a showcase by the musical theater department. (Great job Maggie, Tessa, and Katie!)
