In the Beginning

Wow, so there is a lot to say about my first week of school. First of all, Move-In Day last Saturday was crazy. I sorta knew there would be a lot people moving-in but I totally wasn't prepared for the thousands of people on campus. But once I got to my hall (Monroe, 4th floor....Mo-Fo, lol), things went a little smoother. I didn't have many boxes or anything, but I had enough to get tired of walking up and down to my floor 4 times. Luckily I had my roommate David (he's pretty awesome by the way) and some other kids from the floor help since I arrived later on during check-in time. But once I got all settled in my room, that's when all the fun started.

The first night (Saturday night) was a time to relax and what not but the coming week was full of orientation activities. Some of my faves included Reily Rocks (preview event of the fitness center) and the Office of Multicultural Affairs Pool Party.

I also signed-up to do a program this weekend called Outreach Tulane, which is a school sponsored volunteer program. Painting inner city schools is no picnic, but you sure feel like you made a difference afterwards.

Ok, well that's about it for now cause I need to go study but I'll be back next week.
